Preventative Maintenance

The best way to make your forklifts last as long as possible and to operate with the highest level of efficiency is to do preventative maintenance on them.

After every 150 to 200 hours in operation, Wayco's trained technicians can perform a 40 part inspection based on your equipment at your facility and at your convenience.

This proactive approach to maintenance will ensure that your forklift fleet is working at its best and that you will have lower repair costs and higher machine utilization.

2000 Hour Service

Every 2000 hours of operation, your lifting devices need to be inspected according to the Ministry of Labour. This inspection includes:

• Brake system inspection and service

• Steering system inspection

• Hydraulic system service: change oil and filter

• Fuel system inspection: for gas and diesel forklifts

• Transmission and drive axle inspection and fluid change

• Upright carriage system inspection

• Engine inspection: compression test cooling system, service and fluid change

• Electrical system: motor and contacts

• Tires, lift chains and forks

• Transmission and hydraulic pressure test

• Battery system: less load test

Forklift Truck Safety Inspection

Your lifting devices need to pass an annual safety inspection completed by a "competent person." Wayco's inspectors are qualified to perform these inspections for you. Once everything has been inspected and found to be in proper working order, we can certify your equipment for you. You’ll need to have all safety documentation available, organized, and ready for quick dissemination when inspectors show up.

Forklift Truck Emission Testing

Wayco has a computerized emission analyzer to control air/fuel mixture, reduce emissions and increase efficiency. Emission data is collected at idle, part throttle and full engine settings using an exhaust analyzer. We will give you a printed reading upon completion. Even though emissions tests are not mandatory yet, they are a good way to keep your workers safe. The Ministry of Labour will be enforcing this procedure soon!

Battery Care Program

Wayco can provide you with a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or yearly inspection of your forklift batteries and chargers to make sure that they are working properly. Proper battery care can help them to last longer and save you money on early replacements.
